possession. Violation of this section is punishable upon conviction
by a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25) and not more
than five hundred dollars ($500).

(b) For the purpose of enforcing the provisions of this section,
the County Commissioners of the county are authorized to appoint
one or more constables at the salaries fixed by them, and with the
approval of the County Commissioners, the sheriff of Dorchester
County shall appoint one or more deputies at the salaries approved
by the County Commissioners. Notwithstanding any other provisions
of law to the contrary, all fines collected for violations of this section
shall be paid over to the County Commissioner who shall use said
funds to help pay the salaries of the deputies AND CONSTABLES
appointed herein.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

(Senate Bill 525)

AN ACT to repeal Section 29 of Article 7 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County",
sub-title "Court Stenographer", as said section was enacted by
Chapter 120 of the Acts of 1959, repealing a duplicating local law
of Carroll County concerning the appointment, compensation, and
duties of the court reporter in the circuit court for Carroll County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 29 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title "Court
Stenographer", as said section was enacted by Chapter 120 of the
Acts of 1959, be and it is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
