CHAPTER 506
(Senate Bill 339)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 324 (g)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset County (1963
Edition, being Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Somerset County", sub-title "Tax Exemptions",
extending the duration of the period for which the County Com-
missioners of Somerset County may grant county tax exemptions
for industries.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 324 (g) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset
County (1963 Edition, being Article 20 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Somerset County", sub-title "Tax Exemp-
tions", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

324.

(g) No tax exemption granted by the County Commissioners
under the authority of this section shall have any effect after Decem-
ber 31, [1965] 1970.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

Approved April 8, 1965.

CHAPTER 507
(Senate Bill 341)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 37(b) of
Article 64A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Merit System", to change the manner of
computing the allowance made to a State employee upon his
termination of State employment.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 37(b) of Article 64A of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Merit System", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

37.

(b) Whenever any classified employee shall be dismissed from the
classified service for any cause involving moral turpitude, such
employee shall forfeit all unused vacation time and compensation
for all unused vacation leave. Whenever the services of any classified
employee shall be terminated within six (6) months from the date
of his original appointment to the classified service, such employee
shall not be entitled to any vacation leave or compensation for
