vacation leave. Subject to the exceptions hereinbefore set forth,
every classified employee, upon the termination of his service as a
classified employee, shall be entitled to receive a sum equivalent to
[one fourteenth] one tenth of his established biweekly amount of
compensation at the time his employment terminates, multiplied
by the number of days of his unused vacation leave.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 508
(Senate Bill 343)
AN ACT to add a new Section 5 to Article 64A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Merit Sys-
tem" to follow immediately after Section 4 thereof, to include
police employed at the State colleges in the Classified Service,
without examination under certain conditions.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 5 be and it is hereby added to Article 64A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title
"Merit System", said new section to follow immediately after Section
4 thereof, and to read as follows:
5. On and after June 1, 1965, all police employed at the State
colleges of this State shall be included in the Classified Service of
this State and subject to all the provisions of this Article, and per-
sons holding said positions on June 1, 1965, who shall have held such
positions for at least six (6) months prior thereto shall be considered
a part of and shall hold their positions in the Classified Service in
accordance with this Article and shall be continued in said positions
without examination.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 715A (b)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Supple-
ment), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Oysters and Clams",
to alter and qualify in the sub-section the prescribed time for
catching clams, and making a correction therein.
