Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 10D be and it is hereby added to Article 25 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1964 Supplement),
title "County Commissioners", sub-title "General Provisions", to
follow immediately after Section 10C thereof, and to read as follows:

10D.

The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County are hereby
authorized to adopt and to amend from time to time a building code
to provide for the construction, maintenance and repair of any and
all buildings and structures, located or to be located in St. Mary's
County, to provide for the appointment of inspectors for the enforce-
ment thereof, and to provide penalties for the violation of said
building code. Said building code may incorporate by reference any
code or part thereof proposed by any governmental agency or by
the Building Officials Conference of America, Inc., or any other
trade or professional association for general distribution in printed
form as a standard model on any subject relating to construction,
maintaining or repairing buildings or other structures, provided
that subsequent amendments to any such model or standard code,
shall not be effective until specifically incorporated into such build-
ing code.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

(Senate Bill 504)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 123 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Kent County (1959 Edition,
being Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Kent County", sub-title "County Commissioners", raising
the appropriation paid annually by the County Commissioners of
Kent County to support specified volunteer fire companies in the
county.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

That Section 123 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Kent County
(1959 Edition, being Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Kent County", sub-title "County Commissioners",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

123. The County Commissioners of Kent County are hereby au-
thorized and directed to pay in each and every year, the sum of
[One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500)] Three Thousand
Dollars ($3,000) to the Betterton Volunteer Fire Company, the sum
of [One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500)] Three Thousand
Dollars ($3,000) to the Millington Volunteer Fire Company, the sum
of [One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500)] Three Thousand
