after the effective date of this Act, a fire tax of five FOUR cents
(5¢) (4¢) on every one hundred dollars ($100.00) of the assessed
value of all real and personal property located in Prince George's
County. EXCEPTING THE AREA OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN
THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF TAKOMA PARK.
The said fire tax by this subsection so IF levied shall be collected
in the same manner as other State and county taxes as the same are
now levied and collected.
The proceeds of said fire tax COLLECTED EACH YEAR shall
be paid by the Prince George's County Commissioners to each of
the volunteer fire departments now THEN validly in existence in
Prince George's County, and shall TO be expended by such fire
companies for the purpose of providing that a minimum of two (2)
paid firemen IN EACH FIRE STATION WHO shall be employed
on a full-time basis at salaries to be determined by the Board of
County Commissioners, with respect to each of the fire companies in
Prince George's County.
Nothing in this Act shall be construed to limit the amount ap-
propriated and levied under the previous sections of this subtitle, but
shall be construed as an additional tax levy, for the purpose of
providing two (2) paid firemen to be employed by each of the pre-
established volunteer fire companies in Prince George's County.

AN ACT to add new Section 81 (f) (10) to Article 66½ of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1964 Supplement), title
"Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Administration-Registration-Titling,"
to follow immediately after Section 81 (f) (9) thereof, relating to
the registration of tow trucks that are owned and operated by
fleet operators and used exclusively for towing and servicing their
own vehicles and not used for hire.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 81 (f) (10) be and it is hereby added to Article
66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1964 Sup-
plement), title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Administration-Registra-
tion-Titling," to follow immediately after Section 81 (f) (9) thereof,
and to read as follows:

(f) (10) If such vehicle is a single unit truck equipped to perform
the function of a tow truck and is owned and operated by the owner
of a fleet of vehicles and is used exclusively for towing and servicing
his own vehicles and not used for hire, it shall pay a registration fee
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
