Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 2-4, 2-5 and 13-17
of the Frederick County Code, 1959 (being Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Frederick County," Sections
2-4 and 2-5 thereof being under the subtitle "Chapter 2. Administra-
tion," subheading "Article II. County Commissioners," and Section
13-17 thereof being under the subtitle "Chapter 13. Roads and Public
Grounds," subheading "Article II. County Roads Board," and having
been last amended by Chapter 668 of the Acts of 1963, be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows :

2-4.

The county commissioners shall each receive for the services per-
formed by them an annual salary of two thousand seven hundred
dollars, payable in equal monthly installments by the county treasurer,
as full compensation for services and mileage; provided, however,
that should any emergency arise necessitating them or either of them
to go outside the county to perform any duties pertaining to their
office, then each of them so doing shall be reimbursed from the mis-
cellaneous fund of the county for his actual and necessary expenses.
As of January 1, 1967, the county commissioners shall receive an
annual salary of eight thousand dollars ($8,000) as full compensation
for their services as county commissioners or as a member of any
other county board or agency. As of January 1, 1967, the county
commissioners shall in addition receive such sums for expenses in-
curred in the performance of their duties as may be provided in the
annual county budget.

2-5.

(a)  The county commissioners shall meet three days in each week
at their office in Frederick City for the transaction of general
business and may hold other meetings, either at their office or else-
where, in or without the county, as their duties may require.

(b)  As of January 1, 1967, the County Commissioners shall be
available on a daily basis, in or without the county, for the trans-
action of the business of the county.

(c)  As of this date, at least one member of the county commis-
sioners shall serve as an ex officio,
NON-VOTING member of all ad-
ministrative boards and agencies of the county government which
receive or expend county funds.

13-17.

Each appointed member of the county roads board shall be paid
the sum of five dollars per meeting for actual attendance at regular
or duly called special meetings for purposes of covering expenses
incidental to such attendance. The county commissioners shall each
be paid from the funds of the county roads board the sum of one
thousand, two hundred dollars annually, as compensation for their
services on the board, such sum to be in addition to the compensation
allowed them as county commissioners, as well as one thousand six
hundred dollars annually towards traveling and other expenses in
connection with their duties as members of the county roads board.
