licensed premises alcoholic beverages on Sunday between the hours of
2:00 o'clock P.M. and midnight. Nothing in this section shall apply
to holders of "Special Sunday Licenses" issued in Queen Anne's
County pursuant to Section 103A.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 368
(House Bill 1200)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 14 of
Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Supplement),
title "Public Education," subtitle "Chapter 2. Formation of
Boards," subheading "Board for Harford County," to increase the
membership of the County Board of Education of Harford County
and to provide for the terms of office of the additional members.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 14 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Supplement), title "Public Education," subtitle "Chapter 2.
Formation of Boards," subheading "Board of Harford County," be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and to
read as follows:

14.

The County Board of Education of Harford County shall consist
of [five] seven members who shall be appointed by the Governor
for terms of five years each, beginning on May 1 of the year in which
appointed. Except as in this section specified, the Board shall be sub-
ject to the provisions of Section 6 of this article. Notwithstanding
the provisions of this section, of the members of the Board to be
appointed in the year 1965 one member shall be appointed for a
term of three years, one member shall be appointed for a term of four
years,
and thereafter [this term] their respective terms of office shall
be for five years as provided herein
TERM OF THREE YEARS
AND THEREAFTER THIS TERM OF OFFICE SHALL BE FOR
FIVE YEARS AS PROVIDED HEREIN.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this Act shall
apply to or affect the tenure of the members of the Board in office
on the effective date of this Act. AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE
OF THIS ACT, THE GOVERNOR SHALL APPOINT TWO ADDI-
TIONAL MEMBERS TO THE BOARD, FOR THE MEMBER-
SHIPS HEREIN CREATED. ONE OF THE APPOINTMENTS
SHALL BE FOR A PERIOD ENDING ON MAY 1, 1967, AND
THE OTHER APPOINTMENT SHALL BE FOR A PERIOD END-
ING MAY 1, 1968. THEREAFTER THE TERM FOR THESE
NEW OFFICES SHALL BE FOR THE FULL TERM PROVIDED
IN SECTION 14 OF THIS ACT.
