trotlines exceeding 100 yards in length, (except from a "for hire"
boat operated by the owner who is present on the boat and is licensed
to take crabs for market); and provided further that no trotline shall
be placed in the water in such manner that the line would intersect or
cross another line already placed in the water. Any person or persons
having in his or their possession or under his or their care, custody
or control on any one boat or watercraft one or more trotlines having
a total combined length of more than one hundred yards, measured
from buoy to buoy shall be deemed to be taking crabs for market
and shall first secure a license as required for the taking or catching
of crabs for market or shall be deemed guilty of violating this section.
Any person violating the provisions of this section shall, upon convic-
tion thereof, be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for
each such violation. The provisions of this section shall not apply to
Apes Hole, Johnson Creek, Marumisco Creek and Little Annamessex
River.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 40
(House Bill 102)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 277 (j)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1963
Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Allegany County," subtitle "Frostburg," sub-
heading "Redevelopment—Urban Renewal," correcting an error
in the law relating to urban renewal in the Charter of the City
of Frostburg.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 277 (j) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany
County (1963 Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County," subtitle "Frostburg,"
subheading "Redevelopment—Urban Renewal," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

277.

(j) "Municipality" shall mean The City of Frostburg, a municipal
corporation of this State.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That with respect to the amend-
ments made in this Act, any and all actions, policies, and decisions
of the City of Frostburg, under and according to the said subtitle
"Redevelopment—Urban Renewal," are validated and confirmed as
if the amendments contained in this Act had been a part of Chapter
843 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1961.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
