I, Lloyd L. Simpkins, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 172 (c)
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1957 Edition),
Do Hereby Certify, that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 3, 1964, an Act known as Chapter 625 of the
Acts of 1963, was submitted to the voters of Howard County, under
the provisions of Chapter 625 of the Acts of 1963, said Act being as
follows:
AN ACT to repeal Section 100 of Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages,"
subtitle "Hours and Days for Sale," and to enact new Section
100 in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the Section so re-
pealed, to provide for the issuance of special Sunday licenses
to the holders of certain beer, wine and liquor licenses in
Howard County, relating to hours of sale under this license
and submitting this Act to a referendum.
and I DO certify that at said Election 5,664 votes were cast in
favor of adoption of Chapter 625 of the Acts of 1963 and 6,072 votes
were cast against adoption of said Chapter 625 of the Acts of 1963,
the said Act has therefore failed of ratification.
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my official seal at the City of
Annapolis, this 1st day of December, 1964.
