1698                               CERTIFICATIONS

For the adoption of Chapter 744, as aforesaid, 337,553 votes were
cast, and against the adoption thereof, 159,439 votes were cast;
and

For the adoption of Chapter 129, as aforesaid, 369,014 votes were
cast, and against the adoption thereof, 169,538 votes were cast;
and

For the adoption of Chapter 161, as aforesaid, 333,094 votes were
cast, and against the adoption thereof, 191,148 votes were cast;
and

Now, Therefore, I, J. Millard Tawes, Governor of the State
of Maryland, in pursuance of the authority and direction contained
in Section 1 of Article XIV of the Constitution of Maryland, do by
this my Proclamation hereby declare and proclaim that the greatest
number of votes having been cast in favor of Chapters 192, and 744
of the Acts of 1963, and Chapters 129 and 161 of the Acts of 1964,
and each of them, the same as specifically set forth in said Acts, have
been and are duly ratified by the legal and qualified voters of the
State, and henceforth they, and each of them shall become parts of
the Constitution of the State of Maryland.

Given Under My Hand and the Great Seal of the State of
Maryland, Done at the City of Annapolis, this 1st day
of December, in the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand
Nine Hundred and Sixty-four.
