the Maryland House of Delegates from Prince George's County and
one member to be appointed and designated by the State Senator from
Prince George's County.
In the event there is a vacancy on the Commission by reason of
the death, resignation or refusal to serve by any designee of any
official named above, then the official shall name a successor for
such designee so deceased, resigning or refusing to serve. In the
event any official named above appoints and designates a person
who has previously been appointed and designated by another of-
ficial, then another person shall be appointed to fill the membership
on the Commission.
(3) The functions and duties of the Commission shall include
but not be limited to:
(a) A study and review of the organization and activities of
the Board of License Commissioners of Prince George's County.
(b) A study and review of existing laws respecting Alcoholic
Beverages in Prince George's County.
(c) A study and review of any proposed changes in the Alcoholic
Beverage Laws relating to Prince George's County and the economic,
social, and law enforcement implications of such changes.
The Commission shall conduct meetings in such places in Prince
George's County as it may determine advisable; and the Board of
County Commissioners is requested to make available to the Com-
mission such facilities as may be necessary for such meetings.
The Commission shall take such testimony as it may deem neces-
sary and advisable; and the Board of County Commissioners, the
Prince George's County Police Department, The Board of License
Commissioners of Prince George's County, the Sheriff of Prince
George's County and other agencies of the Prince George's County
government are requested to provide the Commission with such
assistance, including data and information, as it may require.
The members of the Commission shall receive no compensation
for their services as such members; but the Board of County Com-
missioners is hereby authorized and empowered to provide such
clerical services as may be necessary for recording the findings of
the Commission and the preparation of its report.
The Commission shall hold its first meeting no later than June 15,
1965 and shall elect its Chairman and Secretary from among its
members. THE ATTORNEY TO THE BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS SHALL SERVE AS SECRETARY TO THE
COMMISSION.
The Commission shall prepare its report and formulate its recom-
mendations concerning the subjects referred to it and submit them
to the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Delegates,
the Delegates from Prince George's County, the State Senator from
Prince George's County and the Board of County Commissioners of
Prince George's County no later than January 1, 1966 ON OR AFTER
JANUARY 1, 1967.
