Prince George's County, jurors shall receive per diem compensation,
not less than five ($5.00) dollars nor more than ten ($10.00) dollars,
in such amounts as shall be set, from time to time, by the judges of
the Circuit Court for said county and in all other counties, except
Allegany, Baltimore, Calvert, Frederick, Garrett, Harford, Howard,
Charles, St. Mary's and Wicomico counties, five dollars per day for
each and every day they shall attend the several courts of this State
as jurors and fifteen cents for each mile over five miles for going
to and returning from the court, once in each term, to be paid
by the counties, respectively, in which courts are held. In Baltimore
County, jurors shall receive per diem compensation in such amount
as shall be set, from time to time, by the judges of the Circuit
Court of Baltimore County. Jurors in Frederick County shall receive
at least eight dollars per day for each and every day they shall
attend the Circuit Court of Frederick County as jurors and a rea-
sonable amount in the discretion of the County Commissioners, for
each mile going to and returning from the court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 151
(House Bill 317)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 6 (c) of
Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement
Volume), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle "Civil Jurisdiction,"
to increase the monetary civil jurisdiction of trial magistrates in
Garrett County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 (c) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle
"Civil Jurisdiction," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

(c) In all cases of the types mentioned in Subsection (a) of this
section which involve amounts not exceeding [$300.00] $500.00 and
instituted after June 1, 1965, trial magistrates of Garrett County shall
have civil jurisdiction.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
