WHICH THE SALARY IS BEING FIXED AND BY OTHER
PERTINENT DATA WHICH HAS RELATION TO THE REA-
SONABLENESS OF THE SALARY IN RELATION TO THE
WORK DONE AND VOLUME HANDLED BY THE OFFICE, IT
BEING THE INTENT OF THIS SECTION THAT EACH REGIS-
TER OF WILLS SHALL RECEIVE A FAIR AND ADEQUATE
COMPENSATION FOR THE EFFORT AND DUTIES REQUIRED
OF HIM BY HIS OFFICE AND THE VOLUME AND CHARACTER
OF WORK DONE BY HIM AS REGISTER OF WILLS IN RE-
LATION TO THE SALARY FIXED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC
WORKS FOR EACH OF THE OTHER REGISTERS OF WILLS
IN THIS STATE.

(d) The Register of Wills of Baltimore City shall be entitled to
receive a salary of not less than $12,000.00 [and not more than
$15,000.00] $17,000.00.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

(House Bill 849)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 196 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Dorchester County (1961 Edi-
tion, being Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Dorchester County," subtitle "County Commissioners
and Treasurer," to increase the annual expense funds of each of
the County Commissioners of Dorchester County; and to repeal
and re-enact, with amendments, Section 328 (b) of said Code, title
"Dorchester County," subtitle "Roads," to provide additional ex-
pense compensation for those County Commissioners serving on
the County Roads Board to be paid from funds allocated to the
County Commissioners of Dorchester County for roads generally.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 196 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Dorchester
County (1961 Edition, being Article 10 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Dorchester County," subtitle "County
Commissioners and Treasurer," and that Section 328 (b) of said
Code, title "Dorchester County," subtitle "Roads," be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, all to read as
follows:

Article, there shall be paid annually to each County Commissioner
