not less than [twelve thousand dollars ($12,000)] eighteen thousand
dollars ($18,000); SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($16,000);
during his fourth year of such service in the State of Maryland, his
annual salary shall be not less than [thirteen thousand dollars
($13,000)] nineteen thousand dollars ($19,000); SEVENTEEN
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($17,000); and for the fifth year of such
service in the State of Maryland and thereafter, his annual salary
shall be not less than [fourteen thousand dollars ($14,000)]
twenty thousand dollars ($20,000). EIGHTEEN THOUSAND DOL-
LARS ($18,000).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1965.

(Senate Bill 478)
AN ACT to add ten new sections to Article 77 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition, 1964 Supplement), title "Public Edu-
cation", sub-title "Chapter 25. Miscellaneous", said new sections
to be known as Sections 248B to 248K, inclusive, of said Article
and to follow immediately after Section 248A of said Article,
authorizing the Board of Trustees of St. Mary's College of Mary-
land to construct, equip, maintain and operate one or more build-
ings to provide additional housing facilities, living accommoda-
tions, and facilities, including recreational and eating facilities,
authorizing the said Board of Trustees to impose fees, rents and
charges for the use thereof AND FOR THE USE OF SIMILAR
EXISTING FACILITIES UNDER ITS DIRECTION AND CON-
TROL, and authorizing the said Board of Trustees to issue revenue
bonds NOT TO EXCEED IN THE AGGREGATE $1,000,000.00
to pay the cost of all or any part of such project or projects, the
principal thereof and the interest thereon to be payable solely
from the fees, rents and charges for the use of the facilities pro-
vided by the buildings constructed with the proceeds of said bonds
AND FOR THE USE OF SIMILAR EXISTING FACILITIES
UNDER THE DIRECTION AND CONTROL OF SAID BOARD
OF TRUSTEES except for interest prior to, during and for
one year after completion of construction, providing that interest
during such period may be paid out of bonds proceeds and/or
out of such other moneys as may be allocated for such pur-
pose, and providing that the said bonds in no way be the debt
or obligation of the State of Maryland or any subdivision thereof,
except said Board of Trustees, and exempting said bonds from
taxation, and relating generally to additional housing facilities
and the issuance of revenue bonds to pay the cost of all or any
part of the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 248B-248K, inclusive, be and the same hereby are
added to Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
