for the improvement of law enforcement and police protection in
Harford County and particularly shall study and make recommenda-
tions to insure greater cooperation, coordination of efforts and divi-
sion of responsibility between the town, city and county police; to
establish an adequate and unified police radio system in Harford
County; to establish uniform salaries, and other benefits relating to
compensation of law enforcement officers in Harford County.
[460A. During the remainder of the term of office of the Sheriff
of Harford County in effect on the effective date of this section and
solely for the purpose of reimbursing the Sheriff for his living and
other reasonably necessary expenses incurred when the present living
quarters in the county jail are demolished, the County Commissioners
are authorized to determine the amount necessary to reimburse the
Sheriff for the expenses above and pay such sum to the Sheriff as a
supplement to his annual salary provided by law.]
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal Section 431 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Harford County, (1957 Edition), being Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County", sub-title
"Orphans' Court", repealing an obsolete and unnecessary local law
of Harford County concerning the compensation of judges of the
Orphans' Court of Harford County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 431 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County,
(1957 Edition), being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Harford County", sub-title "Orphans' Court", be and
it is hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
