"Somerset County", sub-title "Circuit Court"; this section being also
Section 12(a) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Wicomico County
(1959 Edition), being Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Circuit Court",
sub-heading "Court Stenographer"; and this section being also
Section 123 (a) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Worcester County
(1961 Edition), being Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Worcester County", sub-title "Circuit Court",
sub-heading "Court Stenographer", be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

145(a).

123(a).

The salary of said stenographer shall be [six] eight thousand five
hundred dollars [$6,500] ($8,500) per year, the said salary to be
paid as follows: The County Commissioners of Dorchester County,
Wicomico County, Somerset County and Worcester County shall each
pay an equal amount of the salary specified, said payments to be
made in monthly installments during the service, on the presentation
of the certificate of the clerk of either county or of either of said
judges of said court, to the County Commissioners certifying to the
services of said court stenographer. And the said County Commis-
sioners of the several counties are hereby directed and empowered
to provide for the payment of their several portions of the salary
of the said stenographer at once on presentation of said certificates.
The several judges of the respective Circuit Courts are authorized
to provide for the employment of an additional court stenographer
or court stenographers, when in their joint discretion the volume of
work requires, at the same compensation as provided above.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1964.

CHAPTER 28
(Senate Bill 9)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 127A
(b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County (1957
Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Charles County", sub-title "Human Relations", as

enacted by Chapter 543 of the Laws of 1963 and to add new sub-

sections (b 1) and (b 2) to the said section to follow immediately
after Section 127A (b) thereof, changing the terms of the members
of the Human Relations Commission of Charles County, providing
salaries of the members and providing for the removal of members
who do not attend at
least 50% of the meetings of the Commission.
ENACTED BY CHAPTER 324 OF THE ACTS OF 1963; TO
ADD A NEW SECTION 127A (B-1) TO SAID ARTICLE AND
SUB-TITLE TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SECTION
