House Bill No. 12—By the Allegany County Delegation:

A Bill entitled: An Act to add new Section 572A to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edition, being Article 1 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County," to
follow immediately after Section 572 thereof, and to be under the new
subtitle "Nursing Home," concerning the establishment of a Nursing
Home Board of Allegany County to provide for its membership, tenure,
powers and duties, to authorize the County Commissioners to supply funds
therefor, and relating generally to a nursing or convalescent home in
Allegany County.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

House Bill No. 13—By Delegate Friedman:

A Bill entitled: An Act to add new Section 490 to Article 48A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1963 Supplement), title "Insurance Code,"
subtitle "31. Miscellaneous," to follow immediately after Section 489
thereof, declaring insurance contract provisions that abbreviate the period
of limitation for bringing suit against an insurer under a policy of insur-
ance or suretyship to be against public policy.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

House Bill No. 14—By Delegate Friedman:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 125 (c) of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1963
Supplement), title "Courts," subtitle "Municipal Court of Baltimore City,"
authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to levy for and pay
the pensions for Municipal Court Judges.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

House Bill No. 15—By Delegate McGuirk:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 37 (x) of Article 87 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1963
Supplement), title "Sheriffs," subtitle "Compensation and Duties," to pro-
vide for the payment of mileage allowances to deputy sheriffs in Balti-
more City.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.

House Bill No. 16—By the Harford County Delegation:

A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 447 (a) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County
(1957 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle "Roads and Public Works,"
subheading "Department of Public Works," as enacted by Chapter 870 of
the Acts of 1963, to change the qualifications of the Director of Public
Works of Harford County.
