AFTER RECESS

At 2:00 o'clock P. M., the Senate resumed its session.
Present at roll call were the following Senators:

INTRODUCTION OF BILL
Senate Bill No. 43—By Senators Hughes, G., Parran, Curran, and Derr:

A Bill entitled: An Act to add new Section 482 to Article 48A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1963 Supplement), title "Insurance Code",
sub-title "28. Casualty Insurance", to follow immediately after Section 481
thereof and to add new Section 159 (n) to Article 66½ of the said Code
(1957 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles", subtitle "Unsatisfied Claim and
Judgment Fund", to follow immediately after Section 159 (m) thereof, and
to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 150(g) and (h), 154(a),
161(a)(l) and (c)(l), 162(a) and (b)(4), 163(a)(l) and 167 (b) of the
said Article and subtitle of the Code (1957 Edition and 1963 Supplement),
requiring inclusion of mandatory provisions insuring for claims against
uninsured motorists under motor vehicle liability insurance in the State,
prohibiting such persons from filing claims under the Unsatisfied Claim
and Judgment Fund, making other necessary changes in the Fund, and
relating to motor vehicle insurance in the State.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Rules.
