Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect

(House Bill 173)
AN ACT to repeal and reenact, with amendments, Section 219 (h)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Game and Fresh Water Fish,"
subheading "Regulations for Taking in Nontidal Waters," extend-
ing the exemption for fishing without a license generally to all
disabled and convalescent persons under the care and supervision
of the Red Cross for group recreational purposes.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 219(h) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Game and
Fresh Water Fish," subheading "Regulations for Taking in Nontidal
Waters," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
219.
(h) Any convalescent patient from a veterans' hospital who is
hospitalized for service connected disabilities, may fish without secur-
ing a license provided he secures a permit issued by a special service
officer or the American Red Cross under authorization granted by
the Game and Inland Fish Commission. Also, the Game and Inland
Fish Commission shall grant authority to the American Red Cross
upon request for all disabled and convalescent patients, regardless
of age, under their care and supervision as a group for recreational
purposes, to fish without securing a fishing license.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1964.
