Deer, both sexes (bow and In counties having a bow and arrow
arrow) season, deer of either sex may be
killed between September 1 and De-
cember 31, by means of a bow and
arrow.
In any county or election district of the State, the Commission
may reduce the deer population in areas suffering from crop damage
after thorough investigation shows that such action is justified. The
method of reducing the deer population shall be at the discretion
of the Commission except that wherever feasible trapping shall be
preferred. The deer which may be taken under this provision shall be
disposed of by the Director of the Commission as he may deem advis-
able and for the best interests of the State.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby de-
clared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health and safety, and having been passed
by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of the members elected
to each of the two houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 313 and
316(a) of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Health," subtitle "State Board of Barber Exam-
iners" to change the per diem compensation and mileage allowance
of members of the State Board of Barber Examiners and to change
the fee for annual renewal of barbers' certificates. AND CLARI-
FYING LANGUAGE THEREIN.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 313 and 316(a) of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Health," subtitle "State Board of
Barber Examiners," be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments to read as follows:
313.
Each member of such Board AND SUB-BOARD MEMBERS shall
receive as compensation the sum of [ten dollars ($10)] twenty
dollars ($20.00) for each day necessarily and actually engaged in
the performance of his duty as a member of said Board OR SUB-
BOARD, and [seven cents] an allowance TEN CENTS for each
mile necessarily and actually traveled by him in attending the meet-
ings of said Board, which sum or sums shall be paid out of any moneys
in the hands of the treasurer of said Board.

(a) No person shall after June 1, 1957 practice the occupation of
