CHAPTER 471
(House Bill 913)

AN ACT to repeal Section 602 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County (1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's
County," subtitle "Electric Light Companies," and to repeal said
subtitle, repealing an unnecessary and duplicating law of Prince
George's County concerning the operations of electric light
companies.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 602 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County (1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's County," subtitle "Electric
Light Companies," be and the same is hereby repealed; and that
said subtitle is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

Approved April 17, 1963.

CHAPTER 472
(House Bill 914)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 646 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953
Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Prince George's County," subtitle "Fences,"
correcting an error in the local laws of Prince George's County
which concern interests in and the maintenance of joint fences.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 646 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County (1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's County," subtitle
"Fences," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments to read as follows:

646.

If any person having an interest in any joint division fence shall
fail to make or keep in repair his part thereof, he shall not be entitled
to any damages on account of any trespass through said part of
stock belonging to the other joint owner of said fence; and if he
shall kill, maim, or otherwise injure such stock, upon conviction
thereof, he shall pay to the owner of said stock the full value thereof,
with costs of suit; and if such person be a married woman, she shall
be liable under this section of this subtitle of this article as fully
as if she were femme sole, and her separate estate shall be responsible
[thereof] therefor.
