J. MILLARD TAWES, Governor 679
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somerset County," subtitle "Camp
Meetings," and that said subtitle be and they are hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.
Approved April 17, 1963.
CHAPTER 428
(House Bill 102)
AN ACT to repeal Section 29(b) of Article 20 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somerset County,"
subtitle "Circuit Court," subheading "Court Stenographer," as said
Section 29(b) was last amended by Chapter 290 of the Acts of
1947, repealing an unnecessary local law of Somerset County with
respect to the employment of additional court stenographers.
Whereas, Section 29 of the local laws of Somerset County concerns
the employment of court stenographers in that County; and
Whereas, subsection (a) of that section adequately covers the sub-
ject, including the necessary powers for the employment of additional
court stenographers when desired; and
Whereas, Subsection (b) of that section may be repealed since it
contains only duplicating provisions concerning the employment of
extra stenographers; now, therefore
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 29(b) of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somerset County," subtitle "Circuit
Court," subheading "Court Stenographer," as said section was last
amended by Chapter 290 of the Acts of 1947, be and it is hereby
repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.
Approved April 17, 1963.
CHAPTER 429
(House Bill 103)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 33A, 34,
and 35 of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Somerset County," subtitle "County Com-
missioners," Section 33A thereof having been enacted by Chapter
763 of the Acts of 1957; and to repeal Sections 36, 40, 41, 42, and
44-48, inclusive, of said Article and subtitle, amending the local
laws of Somerset County with particular respect to the County
Commissioners of Somerset County and their powers and duties,
