Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1962 Supplement),
title "Elections", sub-title "House of Representatives", and to enact
in lieu thereof new Sections 159-166A, inclusive, to stand in the
place of the sections so repealed, revising the several Congressional
districts in this State for the election of representatives in the Con-
gress of the United States, creating a new Eighth District, and
relating generally to the boundaries of the several Congressional
Districts and the election of representatives to fill such offices.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 159-166A, inclusive, of Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1962 Supplement), title "Elec-
tions", sub-title "House of Representatives", be and they are hereby
repealed; and that new Sections 159-166A, inclusive, be and they are
hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the sections
so repealed, and all to read as follows:

159.    The State of Maryland is divided into eight districts for the
choosing of eight Representatives in the House of Representatives of
the Congress of the United States. The districts are numbered re-
spectively from one to eight, and each is entitled to choose one Repre-
sentative in the House of Representatives.

160.    The first congressional district is composed of the counties
of Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, Somerset, Talbot,
Wicomico and Worcester Counties.

161.    The second congressional district is composed of Baltimore
and Harford Counties.

162.    The third congressional district is composed of the first,
second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, twenty-second,
twenty third and twenty fourth wards of Baltimore City, the third,

fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth precincts of the

eighteenth ward of Baltimore City, the twelfth to the nineteenth
precincts, inclusive, of the
twenty fifth ward of Baltimore City, and
the first to the twenty fifth precincts, inclusive, of the twenty sixth
ward and the first precinct of the twenty seventh ward, as said
wards
and precincts are presently laid out.
TWENTY-THIRD AND
TWENTY-FOURTH WARDS OF BALTIMORE CITY, PRE-
CINCTS 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, AND 9 OF THE EIGHTEENTH
WARD OF BALTIMORE CITY, PRECINCTS 12 TO 19, IN-
CLUSIVE, OF THE TWENTY-FIFTH WARD OF BALTIMORE
CITY, PRECINCTS 1 TO 34, INCLUSIVE (INCLUDING PRE-
CINCTS 3A, 5A, AND 5B), OF THE TWENTY-SIXTH WARD
OF BALTIMORE CITY, AND PRECINCT 1 OF THE TWENTY-
SEVENTH WARD OF BALTIMORE CITY, AS SAID WARDS
AND PRECINCTS WERE LAID OUT ON JANUARY 1, 1963.

163.    The fourth congressional district is composed of the ninth,
tenth, eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth, seventeenth, nine-

teenth and twentieth wards of Baltimore City, and the first and

second precincts of the eighteenth ward of Baltimore City, the nine-
teenth B to the twenty-sixth A precincts, inclusive, and the thirty-
third to the thirty seventh precincts, inclusive, of the twenty sev-

enth ward, as said wards and precincts are presently laid out.
