spect to whose pension or retirement allowance established under
other law the State does not contribute, and it does not apply to the
beneficiaries of such a person.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 332
(Senate Bill 529)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Board of Regents of the
University of Maryland to acquire land and other property in the
City of Baltimore by condemnation, and generally providing the
procedure with respect thereto.

Whereas, land and other property is needed in the City of Balti-
more for the expansion of the Baltimore Campus of the University
of Maryland.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Board of Regents of the University of Maryland is hereby
authorized and empowered to acquire by condemnation the follow-
ing tracts of land and properties in the City of Baltimore:

All or any part of that land and property, not now owned by the
State, in the two blocks bounded by Arch, Fayette, Pine, and Balti-
more Streets.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to add new Section 118 (m) to Article 2B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Bever-
ages", sub-title "Restrictions Upon Licenses", to follow immedi-
ately after Section 118 (1) thereof, to prohibit the purchase, con-
sumption or possession of alcoholic beverages by minors in Car-
roll County, with exceptions, and providing penalties for violations.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 118 (m) be and it is hereby added to Article 2B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub-title "Restrictions Upon Licenses", to follow imme-
diately after Section 118 (1) thereof, and to read as follows:
