title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title "Civil Jurisdiction", and to
add new sub-section (f-1) to Section 6 of Article 52, Annotated
Code of Maryland (1962 Supplement) titled as aforesaid, increas-
ing the civil jurisdiction of trial magistrates of Talbot County
from $500.00 to $1,000.00 in all cases instituted after June 1,1963.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 (f) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1962 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title "Civil
Jurisdiction", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, and that new sub-section (f-1) be and it is hereby
added to Section 6 of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1962 Supplement), titled as aforesaid, both to read as follows:
6. (f) Five hundred dollars in certain other counties.—Trial mag-
istrates of Dorchester County [and Talbot County] shall have civil
jurisdiction in all cases hereinbefore mentioned in this section, insti-
tuted after June 1, 1963, and involving amounts not exceeding five
hundred dollars.
(f-1) Trial magistrates of Talbot County shall have civil jurisdic-
tion in all cases hereinbefore mentioned in this section, instituted
after June 1, 1963 and involving amounts not exceeding one thou-
sand dollars ($1,000.00).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1963.

AN ACT to add a new Section 79B to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Garrett County (1957 Edition, being Article 12 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Garrett County", sub-title
"County Commissioners", to follow immediately after Section 79A
thereof as said Section 79A was enacted by Chapter 563 of the
Acts of 1961 authorizing the County Commissioners of Garrett
County to carry out, maintain and operate certain works of
improvement, conservation and flood prevention.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 79B be and the same is hereby added to the Code
of Public Local Laws of Garrett County (1957 Edition, being Article
12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Garrett
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", to follow immediately
after Section 79A thereof as Section 79A was enacted by Chapter
563 of the Acts of 1961 and to read as follows:
79B. The Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County may
carry out, maintain and operate the following works of improvement:
1. Soil conservation;
2. Water conservation;
