Fish," subheading "Fur Bearers," extending the open season for
hunting muskrat during 1963 in Dorchester, Wicomico, CARO-
LINE, TALBOT, WORCESTER and Somerset Counties.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 175 (a) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game
and Inland Water Fish," subheading "Fur Bearers," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

175.

(a) No person may hunt any mink, muskrat or otter or have the
meat or pelt of any mink, muskrat or otter in his possession whether
same are trapped, caught, or killed within the State of Maryland or
any other state, territory, or country, except between January 1 and
March 15, inclusive, provided, however, that any person may have
green mink, muskrat or otter skins in his possession until March 25
for purposes of curing such skins. Provided, however, that in Fred-
erick, Garrett, Allegany, Montgomery, Carroll, Howard and Washing-
ton counties, mink and muskrats may be hunted and caught between
December 15 of any year and March 1, of the year following, inclusive,
and in such counties any person may have green mink and muskrat
skins in his possession until March 10 for purposes of curing such
skins. Providing, however, in the year 1963 only, that muskrat may
be hunted and caught in Dorchester, Wicomico,
CAROLINE, TAL-
BOT, WORCESTER and Somerset Counties up to and including
March 23, and persons in these counties may have muskrat skins in
their possession until April 2 for the purposes of curing such skins
in 1963 only.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency law and necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public health and safety, and being passed by a yea and nay
vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of
the two houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 141
(Senate Bill 593)

AN ACT to add a new Section 108A to Article 21 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Talbot
County", sub-title "County Treasurer", to follow immediately
after Section 108 thereof, authorizing the County Commissioners
of Talbot County to appoint a Deputy Treasurer and make gen-
eral provision for the appointment, powers, duties, functions and
compensation of a Deputy Treasurer for Talbot County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 108A be and it is hereby added to Article 21 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
