CHAPTER 133
(House Bill 251)
AN ACT to repeal Section 178A of Article 66C and to repeal and
re-enact, with amendments, Section 178 (b) of Article 66C of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1962 Supplement),
title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game and Inland Water
Fish," subheading "Raccoon, Opossum and Skunks," relating to
the hunting of raccoon or opossum and repealing provisions re-
lating to hunting raccoon or opossum in Cecil County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 178A of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land, (1957 Edition and 1962 Supplement), title "Natural Resources,"
subtitle "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish," subheading "Raccoon,
Opossum and Skunks," be and it is hereby repealed, and that Section
178 (b) of said Article of said Code, title, subtitle and subheading
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
178.
(b) [No person shall between February 1 and September 14, in-
clusive, shake or throw out of any tree or den any raccoon or opos-
sum.] Every person hunting raccoon or opossum must have a
hunter's license for the current year in possession and tag displayed
on outer garment.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 134
(House Bill 285)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, the following
sections of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County," subtitle "County Com-
missioners": Section 50 as last amended by Chapter 47 of the
Acts of 1950, Section 51 as last amended by Chapter 560 of the
Acts of 1959, Section 52 as amended by Chapter 265 205 of the Acts
of 1951 and by Chapter 560 of the Acts of 1959, and Section 53
as amended by Chapter 560 of the Acts of 1959; and to enact new
Sections 50.A, 53.A, 53.B, and 53.C to said Article of said
Code to follow immediately after Sections 50 and 53, thereof,
respectively; providing a fiscal year for St. Mary's County, con-
stituting its county commissioners as a Board of Estimates of the
county and providing for the powers and duties of said board
with respect to submission, preparation and adoption of county
budgets, modifying the dates as to preparation of the county
budget and the tax levy, permitting a budgetary allowance for a
contingent fund, and generally relating to fiscal matters of the
county.
