(s) In St. Mary's County, the chairman of said board shall receive
as compensation the sum of [four] six hundred dollars [$400,00]
($600.00) per year. Each of the [two] other members of the board
shall receive as compensation the sum of [three] five hundred dollars
[$300.00] ($500.00).

(J-l) IN ST. MARY'S COUNTY THE BOARD SHALL AP-
POINT A CLERK TO THE BOARD AT A SALARY OF NOT TO
EXCEED $1,200 PER ANNUM, WHO SHALL HAVE SUCH
DUTIES AS THE BOARD SHALL ASSIGN TO HIM. THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY
SHALL ASSIGN SUCH OTHER CLERICAL ASSISTANTS TO
THE BOARD AS IT MAY NEED TO CARRY OUT ITS DUTIES.
THE DUTIES OF INSPECTION UNDER THE ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGE LAWS IN THE COUNTY SHALL BE PERFORMED
BY THE OFFICE OF COUNTY INSPECTOR UNDER THE
DIRECTION OF THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE BOARD OF
THE COUNTY.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

(Senate Bill 262)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 15 (b) of
Article 95A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Unemployment Insurance Law", sub-title "Collection of
Contributions", relating to erroneous payments, by employers, of
contributions to the unemployment insurance fund and providing
that such payments shall be refunded, regardless of the reason for

the error.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 15 (b) of Article 95A of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Unemployment Insurance Law", sub-
title "Collection of Contributions", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

15.

(b) If any individual or organization shall make application for
refund or credit of any amount paid as contribution or interest under
this article and the Executive Director shall determine that such
amount or any portion thereof was erroneously collected, the Execu-
tive Director may at his discretion either allow a credit therefor,
without interest, in connection with subsequent contribution pay-
ments, or shall refund, without interest, the amount erroneously
paid. Contributions shall be refunded from the fund and interest
shall be refunded from the Special Administrative Expense Fund.
