holic beverages are sold or dispensed. AT A TIME DURING THE
OCCURRENCE OF ANY PICNIC, BAZAAR, OR OTHER SOCIAL
FUNCTION IN SAID BUILDING OR ON SAID PREMISES.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

(Senate Bill 312)
AN ACT to add new Section 210A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Worcester County (1961 Edition), being Article 24 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Worcester County", to
follow immediately after Section 210 thereof, and to be under the
new sub-title "Peddlers and Salesmen", providing that certain
door-to-door peddlers and salesmen must have licenses and relating
to issuance of same, and penalty for violation.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 210A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Worcester County (1961 Edition), being Article
24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Worcester
County", to follow immediately after Section 210 thereof and to be
under the new sub-title "Peddlers and Salesmen", and to read as
follows:
210A.
(a) It is unlawful for any person to conduct the business of or
to act as an itinerant or door-to-door peddler or salesman of goods,
wares or merchandise, either by sample or otherwise, in Worcester
County unless he has secured and holds a current license as such
issued, upon proper application, by the Sheriff of the county. Prior
to the issuance of such license by the Sheriff, a recent photograph of
such "peddler" or "salesman" must be attached to said license. As
used herein, "peddler" or "salesman" includes one who offers for
sale or solicits subscriptions for magazines or other periodical publi-
cations.
(b) The fee for such "peddlers" or "salesman" license shall be
$10.00 $3.00 for a one-day license or $200 $25.00 for an annual
license, payable to the Sheriff of Worcester County.
(c) This section does not apply to vendors of milk or cream, bread,
meat, fuels of petroleum products, farm produce, fish or other sea-
food, FARM SUPPLIES, HOME FURNISHINGS, MOTOR VE-
HICLES or newspapers. It does not apply to any person under
eighteen (18) years of age who is regularly attending school in any
of the schools of the said Worcester County.
(d) Violation of this section by any person shall be a misdemeanor
and upon conviction, subject to a fine of $500.00 $100.00 or imprison-
ment in the County jail for a term not in excess of thirty days or by
both fine and imprisonment.
