license. If [, however,] installation necessitates any work in the well,
a permit must be obtained from the County Commissioners PLUMB-
ING BOARD and the work must be inspected by the Plumbing
Inspector before covering the well as hereinbefore set forth.

[(d)] (c) Nothing herein shall prohibit the purchaser and ulti-
mate consumer from installing a pump, drinking cup and cold water
pressure tank without a license.

(b) Should said maintenance work require any new plumbing
fixtures, new sewers or additions to existing sewers handling human
waste, the work must be done by a [master plumber] plumber hold-
ing a Queen Anne's plumbing license,
and shall be governed by the
same rules and regulations as other plumbing installations.

If any section, sub-section, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase
of this act should be declared invalid for any reason whatsoever
such decision shall not affect the remaining portions of this act
which shall remain in full force and effect and to this end the
provisions of this act are hereby declared to be severable.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 865
(Senate Bill 555)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 38 (b)
(2) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Elections", sub-title "Registration by Permanent
Boards of Registry", relating to registration in Allegany County
and restricting places where such registration is done to places
where no alcoholic beverages are dispensed.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 38 (b) (2) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Elections", sub-title "Registration by Per-
manent Boards of Registry", be and it is hereby repealed and re-en-
acted, with amendments, to read as follows:

38. (b)
(2)

In election years, within a reasonable time prior to the closing of
the registration books for primary and general elections, said regis-
trars shall sit for four days in each, at some convenient location,
during the hours of 1 to 5 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M., in the towns of Frost-
burg, Lonaconing, Westernport and Mount Savage, and at such other
locations and for such hours as the Board of Supervisors of Elections
may determine, provided, however, that no registration of any kind
shall be conducted in any building or on any premises where alco-
