190                             LAWS OF MARYLAND                        [CH. 99

ing during the deer season with gun or rifle in Dorchester County
AND TO ADD NEW SECTION 72 TO ARTICLE 21 OF THE
CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF MARYLAND (1930
EDITION), TITLE "TALBOT COUNTY", TO FOLLOW IMME-
DIATELY AFTER SECTION 71 THEREOF, AS SAME WAS
LAST AMENDED BY CHAPTER 788 OF THE ACTS OF 1959,
AND TO BE UNDER THE NEW SUB-TITLE "DEER HUNT-
ING"; BOTH PROVIDING FOR THE OFFENSE OF HUNT-
ING DURING THE DEER SEASON WITH GUN OR RIFLE
IN THE RESPECTIVE COUNTIES on the property of another
without written permission, to provide penalties for violations,
and to provide for the enforcement of this act.

Whereas, numerous deer hunters are now hunting in Dorchester
County AND TALBOT COUNTIES during the deer season and a
great many are not securing permission from the landowners, and
are totally ignoring the property rights of many people; and

Whereas, the landowner can no longer regulate who is to hunt on
his land nor the number who will hunt; and

Whereas, the uncontrolled hunting by these trespassers is causing
a danger to the life and limb of the residents of Dorchester County,
AND TALBOT COUNTIES, and it is now necessary to enact more
stringent laws in order that the trespassing by deer hunters might
be reduced; now, therefore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 199A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Dorchester County (1961 Edition, being
Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Dorchester County", to follow immediately after Section 199 thereof
and to be under the new sub-title "Deer Hunting", and to read as
follows: AND THAT NEW SECTION 72 BE AND IT IS HEREBY
ADDED TO THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF MARY-
LAND (1930 EDITION), TITLE "TALBOT COUNTY", TO FOL-
LOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SECTION 71 THEREOF, AS

SAME WAS LAST AMENDED BY CHAPTER 788 OF THE ACTS
OF 1959, AND TO BE UNDER THE NEW SUB-TITLE "DEER
HUNTING", AND BOTH TO READ AS FOLLOWS RESPEC-
TIVELY:
