CHAPTER 98
(Senate Bill 124)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 7-66 of
Baltimore County Code 1958 (being Article 3 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore County", sub-title
"Courts, Fines, Forfeitures and Imprisonment", providing for the
appointment of additional appraisers for the orphans' court of
Baltimore County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 7-66 of Baltimore County Code 1958 (being Article 3
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore
County", sub-title "Courts, Fines, Forfeitures and Imprisonment",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

7-66.

On granting letters testamentary or of administration or of col-
lection by the orphans' court of the county, a warrant or warrants
shall issue under the seal of office authorizing two persons of discre-
tion, both of whom shall be selected by the orphans' court and
neither of whom shall be related to the deceased nor interested in
the administration, to appraise the goods, chattels and personal
estate of the deceased known to them or to be shown by the executor,
administrator or collector. The orphans' court shall appoint [three]
six appraisers, to hold office at the pleasure of court, who shall
appraise the goods, chattels and personal estates of all decedents
under administration of the orphans' court. One of such persons
shall be designated as chief appraiser for the court at an annual
salary of six thousand dollars, and the others shall be designated as
his assistants at an annual salary of three thousand six hundred
dollars each and each of the [three] six appraisers shall receive a
monthly expense account of fifty dollars. Such salaries shall be in
lieu of any and all other compensation for their duties as such. The
register of wills of the county is hereby authorized and directed to
enact a schedule of fees to be charged for the appraisal of the
decedent's estates for the purpose of defraying the salaries herein-
before established.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to add new Section 199A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Dorchester County (1961 Edition, being Article 10 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Dorchester County", to
follow immediately after Section 199 thereof and to be under the
new sub-title "Deer Hunting", to provide for the offense of hunt
