be served by proceeding against said person in the Criminal Court
of Baltimore, in connection with the trial of any other charges
against the same person there pending, or in connection with the trial
of charges there pending against another person, arising in the latter
case, out of related matters and facts, the person so charged in the
court shall be proceeded against in the Criminal Court of Baltimore.
(3) The powers of the Grand Jury of Baltimore City as the same
existed on the day immediately preceding the first Monday in May,
1961, to present any person for trial in the Criminal Court of Balti-
more City as the result of any investigation initiated on its own mo-
tion, or that of any of its predecessors, shall not in any way be limited,
abridged, or circumscribed by this Act. Any such presentment by
the Grand Jury of Baltimore City shall be conclusively presumed to
have been made in accordance with the provisions of this subsection.
[3] (4) Whenever any judges of the court shall, in his discretion,
determine in any case within the jurisdiction of the court, that the
interests of justice would best be served by trying the charge against
the person appearing before him in the Criminal Court of Baltimore,
the said judge may, before [trial] a verdict is rendered, waive juris-
diction in the matter.
[4] (5) In cases in which the person charged is to be, or may be,
originally proceeded against in the Criminal Court of Baltimore,
under subsection (1), (2), [or] (3), or (4) of this subsection, the
court shall proceed as provided for in cases beyond its jurisdiction
under Section 115 of this article.
(d) The Municipal Court of Baltimore City and the Judges thereof
shall have the power to issue Writs of Habeas Corpus Ad Testifi-
candum and Ad Prosequendam and shall have, possess, and exercise
all the powers and duties that were vested in or conferred upon the
Justices of the Peace of Baltimore City, including the Police Magis-
trates, the Chief Police Magistrates of Baltimore City, the Magistrate-
at-large of Baltimore City on the day immediately preceding the first
Monday of May, 1961.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT relating to the Washington Suburban Sanitary District,
adding an additional area within Montgomery County to the Wash-
ington Suburban Sanitary District, the additional area being AP-
PROXIMATELY northwest of the City of Rockville and known
as the Polinger Tract.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the area herein described is hereby added to the Washington
Suburban Sanitary District created by Chapter 122 of the Acts of
