(House Bill 831)

AN ACT to add new Section 2-30.3 to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Anne Arundel County (1957 Edition, 1961 Supplement), being
Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne
Arundel County," subtitle "Article III. County Commissioners,"
to follow immediately after Section 2-30.2, providing for the Coun-
ty Commissioners of Anne Arundel County to establish and ad-
minister a Housing Code and relating generally to housing in Anne
Arundel County (exclusive City of Annapolis).

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 2-30.3 be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1957 Edition, 1961 Sup-
plement) , being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Anne Arundel County," subtitle "County Commissioners,"
said new section to follow after Section 2-30.2, thereof and to read as
follows:

2-30.2.

The Board of County Commissioners shall adopt a Housing Code
which Code shall stipulate minimum housing standards in order to
make dwellings fit for human habitation. The Code shall be admin-
istered by the appropriate agency of the County Government upon as-
signment by the County Commissioners; provided, however, that
this section shall not apply to or within the City of Annapolis.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2 of Ar-
ticle 62B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
"Maryland Port Authority," to repeal the territorial exclusion of
a portion of Anne Arundel County from the jurisdiction of the
Maryland Port Authority.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2 of Article 62B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Maryland Port Authority," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

The Authority shall have jurisdiction and shall be empowered to
exercise and apply any or all of its powers and duties, as defined and
