(R) THE COUNTY TREASURER OF SOMERSET COUNTY
SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY OF NOT LESS THAN
$3,600.00 NOR MORE THAN $4,200.00 IN THE DISCRETION OF
THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. THE COUNTY TREASURER
SHALL RECEIVE ANNUALLY THE SUM OF $600.00 FOR EX-
PENSES.

THE TREASURER SHALL APPOINT A DEPUTY, WHO
SHALL PERFORM SUCH DUTIES AS THE SAID TREASURER
MAY REQUIRE, AND FOR WHOSE OFFICIAL CONDUCT SAID
TREASURER SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE, AND WHO SHALL
ACT FOR SAID TREASURER DURING THE TREASURER'S
ABSENCE; THE SALARY OF THE SAID DEPUTY SHALL BE
$3,750.00 ANNUALLY AND SHALL BE PAID ON A MONTHLY
BASIS.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 108 (19)
and 119 (a) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition and 1962 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace," sub-
title "Trial Magistrates System," to increase the salaries of trial
magistrates and substitute trial magistrates in Somerset County.
AND TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT, WITH AMENDMENTS,
SECTION 40 (T) OF ARTICLE 10 OF THE SAID CODE (1962
SUPPLEMENT), TITLE "ATTORNEYS AT LAW AND ATTOR-
NEYS IN FACT," SUBTITLE "STATE'S ATTORNEY," RE-
LATING TO THE SALARIES OF TRIAL MAGISTRATES AND
SUBSTITUTE TRIAL MAGISTRATES IN SOMERSET COUN-
TY AND TO THE EXPENSE ALLOWANCE OF THE STATE'S
ATTORNEY OF THE COUNTY.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 108 (19) and 119 (a) of Article 52 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1962 Supplement), title "Jus-

SECTION 40(T) OF ARTICLE 10 OF THE SAID CODE (1962

they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
