shall receive an annual salary of [twenty-four hundred dollars
($2,400)] three thousand dollars ($3,000) TWO THOUSAND
EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,800). The magistrate sitting
at Princess Anne shall sit from 9 A.M. to 12 o'clock noon, Monday
to Friday, inclusive, and the magistrate sitting at Crisfield shall sit
from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M., Monday to Friday, inclusive.

119.

(a) In addition to the justices of the peace and justices of the
peace at large hereinbefore specified, the Governor, by and with the
advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint one justice of the
peace at large for each county of the State, except Montgomery,
Prince George's, and Kent counties, who shall be designated "sub-
stitute trial magistrate." Such magistrate shall post the bond re-
quired of trial magistrates and shall receive a salary of $100.00 per
year, except there shall be four substitute magistrates appointed for
Baltimore County, each of whom shall receive $2,000.00 per year in
addition to the compensation received when actually sitting as a
substitute as hereinafter provided, and except the substitute magis-
trate appointed for Somerset County, who shall receive [five hun-
dred dollars ($500.00)] seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750)
SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ($700) per year in addition to the
compensation received when actually sitting as a substitute, as here-
inafter provided, and except the substitute magistrate appointed for
Cecil County, who shall receive $300.00 per year in addition to the
compensation received when actually sitting as a substitute, as
hereinafter provided. And in Wicomico County said substitute trial
magistrate shall receive a salary of $800.00 per year.

(T) IN SOMERSET COUNTY, (1) THE STATE'S ATTORNEY'S
SALARY IS TWENTY-FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,400).

(2) THE STATE'S ATTORNEY'S ALLOWANCE FOR THE
EXPENSES OF HIS OFFICE IS TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS

($2,000).

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

(House Bill 948)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Section 344 of
Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition)
title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Forests and Parks," revising
the duties of the Director of the Department of Forests and Parks,
authorizing the Commission of Forests and Parks, in its discretion
to apportion the administrative functions and duties of the said
Department among the supervisory personnel thereof, placing new
duties on the State Forester, and relating generally to the func-
