1542                           LAWS OF MARYLAND                      [CH. 749

Pollitt, Robert Venables, Handy H. Irving, James Hooper, Levin G.
Irving, Anthony B. Bennett, Washington Bennett, Humphrey Hum-
phreys and William Stevens, incorporators under the aforesaid
Acts of 1830, Chapter 102, are now all deceased, the following named
persons:] Samuel A. Graham, John D. Williams, Alexander D. Toad-
vin, J. William Slemons, Henry S. Todd, Robert D. Grier, Albert M.
Walls, Uriah T. White, Lewis Morgan, Charles R. Disharoon, Peter
S. Shockley, and Graham Gunby, the persons designated and con-
stituted a body corporate by the name, style and title of "The Com-
mittee of the Wicomico Presbyterian Church of Salisbury, Mary-
land," by Chapter 322 of the Acts of 1916 of the General Assembly
of Maryland, no longer hold said office, and the following persons:
J. Morris Jones, Richard W. Phillips, S. Norris Pilchard, Paul W.
Vineyard, Richard B. Dempster, Francis H. Dry den, William H. Ham-
mill, Louis Holland, Milton C. Bailey. David A. Grier, William E.
Morgan and Benjamin P. Quillin are
the duly elected successors of
[the] said [incorporators] persons, and they, with their successors
elected as hereinafter set forth, shall be and are hereby constituted
a body corporate by the name, style and title of "The Committee of
the Wicomico Presbyterian Church of Salisbury, Maryland," and
by the same name shall have perpetual succession, and shall be able
to sue and be sued, implead and be impleaded, in any court of law
or equity in this State or elsewhere, and to make and have a common
seal, and the same to break, alter and renew at their pleasure, and
also ordain and establish such by-laws and ordinances as shall appear
necessary for regulating the temporal concerns of the said church,
and for promoting literature within the same not being repugnant
to this Act and to the laws of this State.

That [Samuel A. Graham, John D. Williams, Alexander D. Toad-
vin and J. William Slemons] J. Morris Jones, Richard W. Phillips,
S. Norris Pilchard, and Paul W. Vineyard
shall serve as members
of said Committee until [April 1st, 1917] the election of their suc-
cessors in March, 1963;
and [Henry S. Todd, Robert D. Grier, Albert
M. Walls and Uriah F. White] Richard B. Dempster, Francis H.
Dryden, William H. Hammill, and Louis Holland
shall serve as mem-
bers of said Committee until [April 1st, 1918] the election of their
successors in the year 1964;
that [Lewis Morgan, Charles R. Disha-
roon, Peter S. Shockley and Graham Gunby] Milton C. Bailey, David
A. Grier, William E. Morgan and Benjamin P. Quillin
shall serve as
members of said Committee until [April 1st, 1919] the election of
their successors in the year 1965;
that the successors of the said
Committee of the said Church shall be elected in the following man-
ner, to wit: The members of the congregation of the said Church,
being twenty-one years of age, contributing regularly towards the
pastor's salary and current expenses of the said church, may and
shall meet at such place [of] in the said church as shall be appointed
by the said committee some time during the month of March, in
the year nineteen hundred and [seventeen] sixty-three, and [some
time during each and every succeeding month of March,] during
such month in the year 1964, and in each year thereafter, as the
congregation of said church shall from time to time determine,
whereof due notice shall be given according to the by-laws of said
corporation, and then and there they, or as many as may attend,
