J. MILLARD TAWES, Governor                     1541

The County Commissioners shall insert into every contract for
doing public work for or on behalf of the county a provision that
any contractor or sub-contractor doing or performing such work shall
pay all his officers and employees at the prevailing wage rate in
Prince George's County. The County Commissioners shall, from time
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THE
PROVISIONS HEREOF SHALL NOT BECOME EFFECTIVE UN-
TIL THE SAID COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HAVE REVIEWED
AND STUDIED THE WAGES BEING PAID IN THE COUNTY,
THE FINANCIAL IMPACT, IF ANY, ON THE COUNTY SCHOOL
BUILDING AND ROADS CONSTRUCTION PROGRAMS, THE
IMPACT ON LOCAL MANAGEMENT AND LABOR RELATIONS,
AND OTHER MATTERS BROUGHT TO ITS ATTENTION, BY
THE PUBLIC OR AN ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPOINTED BY
THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR SUCH PURPOSE, AND
THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SHALL HAVE DETERMINED
BY RESOLUTION THAT THE PROVISIONS HEREOF ARE
BENEFICIAL TO THE COUNTY AND DETERMINE, FIX AND
PUBLISH THE PREVAILING WAGE RATE TO BE APPLIC-
ABLE, IN WHICH EVENT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SEC-
TION SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE; AND, IF SUCH RESOLU-
TION IS ADOPTED, AND THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION
SHALL HAVE BECOME EFFECTIVE, THE COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS MAY THEREAFTER REDETERMINE AND FIX THE
PREVAILING WAGE RATE THEN APPLICABLE TO SUCH
CONTRACTS, FOR WHICH PURPOSE THE COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS SHALL FROM TIME to time review the wages being
paid in the county and after consideration, and public hearing if re-
quested by any persons,
DETERMINE AND publish such prevailing
wage rate. As to any one contract, the prevailing wage rate in effect
as of the date the contract was executed shall be controlling.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

(House Bill 1108)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 2, 3 and
4 of Chapter 322 of the Acts of 1916 of the General Assembly of
Maryland, relating to the time of holding the annual election of
members of the Committee of the Wicomico Presbyterian Church
of Salisbury, Maryland.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 2, 3 and 4 of Chapter 322 of the Acts of 1916 of the
General Assembly of Maryland, be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
