shall continue in office and shall be assigned such duties in connection
with the functions of the Circuit Court, or the Master or Masters
for Juvenile Causes, as the Court may direct and shall receive compen-
sation from the Board of County Commissioners in such sums as the
County Commissioners shall direct, not less than the compensation
now provided for them by the Board of County Commissioners; and,
said employees shall retain and continue to have all rights and privi-
leges now available to them under any merit system or retirement
provisions provided by the State or County. The Supervisor of the
Department of Parole and Probation for Prince George's County
and the Senior Parole officer of Prince George's County shall each
receive additional compensation of [$1000.00] $2,000.00 per annum
for services in connection with Juvenile Causes, the sum to be paid
as is hereinbefore provided for other employees designated, employed
or appointed by the Circuit Court of Prince George's County for per-
formance of duties, in connection with Juvenile Causes.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 704
(House Bill 640)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 193 (c)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1957 Edition,
being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Harford County," subtitle "County Commissioners," as
amended by Chapter 742 of the Acts of 1959, increasing the amount
of traveling and other expenses which may be paid to the County
Commissioners.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 193 (c) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1957 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle "County Com-
missioners," as amended by Chapter 742 of the Acts of 1959, be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

193.

(c) They shall receive an annual salary of Five Thousand Dollars
($5,000.00), payable monthly by the Treasurer of said County and
they are required to meet for the transaction of public business at
their office at Bel Air at least one day each week, and as much oftener
as the proper discharge of their official duties may require. Said
County Commissioners shall not receive any additional compensation
for any services required to be performed pursuant to their duties
as County Commissioners, including their duty to review assessments;
provided further that each of the said County Commissioners shall be
paid by the Treasurer of the County actual traveling and other ex-
penses incurred in the conduct of his duties not to exceed [$500.00]
