herewith or contrary thereto be and the same are hereby repealed
to the extent of such inconsistency.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963 1964.

(House Bill 809)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 95A of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1962 Supple-
ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Hours and Days for
Sale," prescribing the hours during which alcoholic beverages may
be sold in Carroll County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 95A of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1962 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Hours
and Days for Sale," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

95 A.

In Carroll County, notwithstanding any other provisions in this
article, the following restrictions, limitations, and regulations shall
be in effect.

(a) Holders of "on sale" licensee under this article shall only sell,
offer for sale, or dispense the beverages defined in this article between
the hours of 8 o'clock a.m. and 1 o'clock a.m., except that on Sunday,

only the holders of Class B and Class C licenses shall be permitted

to sell, offer for sale or dispense the beverages defined in this article

and except that on Sunday the opening hour shall be 2 p.m. No

beverages defined in this article shall be permitted to be drunk on

the premises of a licensee after fifteen (15) minutes following the

closing hour prescribed in this section, and no such beverages shall

be sold, offered or dispensed at a bar or counter on Sunday.

(A) HOLDERS OF "ON SALE" LICENSES AUTHORIZED
UNDER THIS ARTICLE MAY SELL, OFFER FOR SALE, OR DIS-
PENSE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES DURING THE HOURS OF
8:00 A.M. AND 1:00 A.M. AND NO OTHER HOURS. HOLDERS
OF SUCH LICENSES SHALL NOT SELL, OFFER TO SELL OR
DISPENSE ANY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON SUNDAY, EX-
CEPT THAT WHEN THE HOLDER OF SUCH A LICENSE
SHALL HAVE BEEN OPEN FOR BUSINESS ON SATURDAY AT
MIDNIGHT HE MAY REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 1:00 A.M. THE
SUNDAY IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING AND EXCEPT THAT
HOLDERS OF CLASS B AND C BEER, WINE AND LIQUOR
LICENSES MAY REOPEN AND MAY SELL ALCOHOLIC BEV-
ERAGES ON SUNDAYS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 2:00 P.M.
AND 1:00 A.M. THE FOLLOWING MONDAY BUT NO SALES
UPON SUCH REOPENING ON SUNDAY SHALL BE MADE AT
