AN ACT to repeal Section 49 of Article 78 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Public Service Commission Law,"
subtitle "Public Service Companies," subheading "Taxicab Com-
panies," repealing the requirement that a taxicab be operated by
the owner thereof or his employee, and repealing certain provisions
making illegal contracts, agreements, arrangements, or under-
standings, whereby the operator of a taxicab pays fixed or deter-
minable sum for the use thereof and is entitled to all or a portion
of the proceeds arising from its operation.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 49 of Article 78 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Public Service Commission Law," subtitle
"Public Service Companies," subheading "Taxicab Companies," be

AN ACT to add a new Section 140A to Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Licenses," subtitle "Motor
Vehicle Fuel Law TAX," to follow immediately after Section 140
thereof, relating to the furnishing of identifying numbers under
the Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax Law, providing that such numbers may
SHALL be required, and relating generally to the procedure for
such requirement.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 140A be and it is hereby added to Article 56 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Licenses," subtitle
"Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax Law," to follow immediately after Section
140 thereof, and to read as follows:
