ery County, judges of election may be sworn in by any member of
the Board, any registrar, or any assistant registrar.
(f) The board of supervisors of elections in the several counties
of the State shall have power to fix the compensation of judges of
election within the limits of the amounts authorized for this purpose
by the county commissioners or county council of each county, re-
spectively, provided that such compensation shall not be less than
$7.00 nor more than $20.00 per day for each day actually served, ex-
cept that for attending courses of instruction required in 8 (e) here-
of, the trainee judges shall receive, as compensation, $5.00 per day
of instruction and mileage allowance at the rate of 10c per mile be-
tween their homes and the place where such instruction is granted.

(K) IN ALLEGANY COUNTY, ALL ELECTION JUDGES
SHALL RECEIVE A COURSE OF INSTRUCTION IN THEIR
DUTIES ADMINISTERED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF ELECTIONS OF ALLEGANY COUNTY. FOR ATTENDING
THE REQUIRED COURSES OF INSTRUCTION, THE ELEC-
TION JUDGES SHALL RECEIVE AS COMPENSATION THE
SUM OF FIVE DOLLARS ($5.00) FOR EACH DAY OF IN-
STRUCTION AND A MILEAGE ALLOWANCE FOR EACH
SUCH DAY AT THE RATE OF TEN CENTS PER MILE BE-
TWEEN THEIR RESIDENCE AND THE PLACE WHERE THE
COURSE OF INSTRUCTION IS GIVEN.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 255 (e)
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1962 Supple-
ment) , title "Testamentary Law", sub-title "Orphans' Court", and
to add a new sub-section (v) to said section, to follow immedi-
ately after sub-section (u) thereof, providing for an annual salary
of $600 for judges of the Orphans' Court of Charles County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 255 (e) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1962 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title
"Orphans' Court", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, and that new sub-section (v) be and it is hereby added
to said Section 255 of the Code and sub-title, to follow immediately
after sub-section (u) thereof; and both sub-sections to read as
follows:

(e) Each of the judges of the orphans' court for Carroll,
[Charles,] Queen Anne's, Somerset, and Worcester counties shall
