receive the sum of eight dollars ($8.00) for every day's attendance
upon the sessions of said court. The judges of the orphans' court for
Queen Anne's and Worcester counties shall receive an allowance for
traveling expenses of four hundred and fifty dollars ($450.00). The
judges of the Orphans' Court for Howard County shall receive an
allowance for traveling expenses of four hundred and eighty dollars
($480.00) per year. The judges of the Orphans' Court for Somerset
County shall receive an allowance of six dollars ($6.00) for mileage
for every day's attendance upon the sessions of said court.

(v) Each of the judges of the Orphans' Court for Charles County
elected at the general election in November 1966, or elected or ap-
pointed thereafter, shall receive as annual compensation the sum of
$600.00. Judges of said Court elected or appointed prior to such
time shall receive the sum of eight dollars ($8.00) for every day's
attendance upon the sessions of said Court.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 562
(Senate Bill 467)

AN ACT to add a new Section to be known as Section 23K to Article
23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Wicomico County (1959
Edition, being Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "County Commis-
sioners", and to follow immediately after Section 23J of said Ar-
ticle as enacted by Chapter 293 of the Acts of 1961, authorizing
the County Commissioners of Wicomico County to levy and ap-
propriate funds for the purpose of constructing and maintaining
sanitary sewers, water mains and storm water drains in said
County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 23K be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Wicomico County (1959 Edition, being Article
23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Wicomico
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", to follow immediately
after Section 23J thereof as enacted by Chapter 293 of the Acts of
1961 and to read as follows:

23K. The County Commissioners of Wicomico County may ap-
propriate and levy annually a sum not in excess of Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($50,000.00) to be used exclusively for the construction and
maintenance of sanitary sewers, water mains and storm water drains
in and along the roads and streets in Wicomico County, which sani-
tary sewers, water mains and storm water drains may be used by
industrial plants, commercial establishments and/or residences
along and binding upon said roads or streets upon such conditions as
may be prescribed by the County Commissioners; and such other in-
dustrial and commercial establishments or individuals may be grant-
ed written permission to use the same by said County Commissioners
