seventeen hundred thirty and eight that the afd Richard pay
the sum of thirty shillings Current money of Maryland as a
fine for Committing the fornication afd Also it is Considered
by the Justices afd at the time and place afd that the said
Richard pay the sum of three hundred & thirty two pounds
of tobacco costs Accrueing on the premisses afd to the
Officers of this Court &c.            Jams Smith Clk
Ordered by this Court here that the fine afd be delivd.
the Sher. of Kent County and William Harris Gent. prsent
here in Court Acknowledegth the receipt of the same
Ordered by this Court here that the afd Richard give
Security for the Fees Accrueing on the premisses afd to
the Officers of this Court
Thereupon Samuel Bennett of Kent County planter
and present here in Court in his proper person Acknow:
:ledgeth himself Indebted unto his Lordship the Right
Honourable the Lord propry of Maryland in the sum of
five hundred pounds of tobacco to be made and Leveyed
on his body goods and Chattles lands and Tenements
for the use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successrs.
With Condition to this recognizance that he the said
Richard do pay the fees afd to the Several Officers of
this Court Then this Recognizance to be void Else
to Remain in full force in Law
And now here to wit at Kent County afd at the Court house in
the Town of Chester in said County on the day & year afd last
mentioned cometh Martha Davis in her proper person and
prayeth that her Suretys recognizance taken as afd for her
Appearance to this Court as an Evidence against the afd Richd.
