that Richard Waters late of Saint pauls parish in the County
afd Labourer the tenth day of October Anno Domini seventeen
hundred thirty and seven at the parish afd in the County afd
and within the Jurisdiction of this Court did committ forn.
with a certain Martha Davis and of her body then and
there had carnal knowledge of and a bastard child on
the body of her the same Martha then and there did
beget to the high displeasure of Almighty God to the
evil Example of all others in such case lately made
and provided Contrary to the peace of the said Lord
his good rule and Government and against the form
of the Act of Assembly in such case lately made and
Provided &c                           Francis
On the Back of the afd Indictment was Indorsed as
fol. Vizt.       Billa Vera Jams Ringgold form.
And now here to wit at Kent County afd at the Court house
in the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday of
August being the fifteenth day of said month in the year
of Our Lord seventeen hundred thirty & eight cometh the
afd Lord propry by his Attorney afd and prayeth that
the afd Richard to the Indictment afd might Answer
And the afd Richard in his proper person comes and
defends the force and injury when &c and Saith that
he cannot gainsay the Indictment afd so as afd against
him brought nor can he say but thtat he is guilty of the
premisses afd above upon him Imposed as by the Indictt.
afd it is Alledged and thereof Submits to the Court
Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit
at Kent County Court at the Court house in the Town of
Chester in said County on the third tuesday of August
being the fifteenth Day of said month in the year of Our
