Which was read the first time.

Mr. Spence, reported a bill entitled, an act to refund to
Zadok Marshall, of Worcester county, a certain sum of money
erroneously paid into the Treasury;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the commit-
tee on Claims.

The bill entitled, an act to make valid a deed from George
Peters and James Murray, commissioners for opening streets
in the city of Baltimore, and Miles White to Wm. N. Todd,
bearing date the 2nd day of July, 1855, and recorded among
the Land Records of Baltimore city, in Liber E. D., No. 87,
folio 420, &c;

Was read the second time, by special order the third time,
three fourths of the members concurring, and passed by yeas
and nays as follows :

On motion of Mr. Kennard,

The rules were suspended, and he presented a petition from
the Marion Reserve Guard, asking for compensation for ser-
vices rendered to the State by order of the Governor;

Which was referred to the committee on Claims,

On motion of Mr. Kennard,

The rules were suspended, and he presented a memorial from

thirteen Hotel keepers of Baltimore city, praying for an act
