The said bill was then sent to the Senate.
Mr. Wickes, from the committee on the Library, presented
the following—

REPORT.

The committee on the Library, to whom the petition of the
Orphans' Court of Queen Anne's county, requesting that said
Court be supplied with sundry books therein mentioned, was
referred;

Respectfully report, that having ascertained from the Libra-
rian that there are surplus copies of all the books asked for, by
said Court, now in the Library;

Therefore they beg leave to offer the following order:

Ordered, That the Librarian be instructed to furnish the
Orphans' Court of Queen Anne's county with the acts of As-
sembly since 1838; also the Maryland Reports since 1838;
also Dorsey's Laws of Maryland, and Dorsey's Testamentary
Laws of Maryland.

Which was read, and the accompanying order was adopted.

Mr. Rohrer, from a select committee, reported a bill entitled,
an act to amend the act passed at January session, 1852,
chapter 182, entitled, an act to incorporate the Town of
Sharpsburg, and Miller's addition to Sharpsburg; and also,
the act passed at January session 1853, chapter 342, amenda-
tory of said act, to provide a more effectual punishment for
the violation of the ordinances of said town;

Which was read the first time, by special order the second
time, and referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Magruder, from a select committee, reported favorably
on a bill entitled, an act to authorise the Primary School com-
missioners for election district No. 2, in Calvert county, to lay
out and establish a new school district in said election district;
