On motion of Mr. Rogers,
Leave was granted the committee on Judiciary, to intro-
duce a bill to make valid an assignment or conveyance from
Elijah Evans to Otho H. Williams, for certain lots of ground
in Allegany county.
On motion of Mr. Magruder,
Leave was granted the Calvert county delegation, to intro-
duce a bill to establish a more effectual system of public
schools for Calvert county.
On motion of Mr. Welling,.
Leave was granted the Howard county delegation, to intro-
duce a bill to prevent swine, goats, &c, from running at
large in the village of Elkridge Landing, in Howard county.
Mr. Alexander, from the committee on Judiciary, reported
favorably upon the bill entitled, an act to make valid a deed
from Richard Bowen, therein mentioned;
