92              JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 20,

Ordered by this House, that a select committee of five mem-
bers be appointed to inquire into the necessity, or expediency
of establishing in the city of Baltimore a vaccine agency lor
the State, for the purpose of disseminating pure vaccine mat-
ter throughout the various counties of this State, and more
effectually to promote the custom of vaccination therein, and
that they have leave to report by bill or otherwise;

Which was adopted, and the Speaker appointed the follow-
ing gentlemen said committee—Messrs. Duvall, Lynch,
of Baltimore city, Grieves, Hearn and Lynch, of Baltimore
county.

Mr. Kilbourn, offered the following order:

Ordered, That the committee on Corporations, have leave
to introduce a bill confirmatory of the title of the General In-
surance Company of Maryland, to the Franklin Turnpike
Road, and of the license to erect and fix gates across the
same and collect tolls thereupon, heretofore issued by the
Governor of Maryland to the said General Insurance Company
of Maryland;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Lynch, of Baltimore county, offered the following
order:                                       

Ordered, That the Guano Inspector inform this House of
the number of tons of Guano which have been inspected and
analysed by him since the 1st day of March, 1856, specifying
each particular kind, whether Peruvian, Mexican or any other
variety, also the different grades of the Guano, and the num-
ber of tons of each. Also the names of the persons employed
by him in weighing, measuring or in the performance of any
other duty connected with the inspection, the amount paid to
them, and the nature of their services;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Alexander, offered the following order:

Ordered, That the bill entitled, an act relating to foreign
corporations and their agencies, heretofore referred to the
committee on Judiciary, be referred to the committee on Cor-
porations ;

Which was adopted,

Mr, Kidd, offered the following order:

Ordered, That when this House adjourn, it stands adjourn-
ed until to morrow morning at 10 o'clock;

Which was adopted.
