Sudler, of Somerset, Tilghman, Dail, Richardson, Grieves,
Davis, Kidd, Belt, Contee, Larrimore, Sudler, of Queen
Anne's, Landing, Spence, Hearn, Harding, Bowlus, Root,
Koons, Hobbs, Hanway, Bacon, Baker, Todd; Stirling,
Rogers, McPherson, Kennard, Lynch, of Baltimore city,
Harrington, Crowley, Forrest, Alexander, Summers, Gray,
Schnebly, Duvall, Worthington, Thruston, Kilgour, Bar-
nard, McKinstry, Reindollar, Welling and Dorsey.

The proceedings of yesterday were read.

Mr. Sudler, of Queen Anne's, presented a petition of the
Orphans' Court of Queen Anne's county, asking to be fur-
nished with the acts of Assembly since 1838, and other docu-
ments;

Which was referred to the committee on the Library.

Mr. Lynch, of Baltimore city, presented the petition of
Benjamin M. Hodges, Jr., Benjamin Buck & Sons, James
Cheston & Son, John Henderson & Co., and others, mer-
chants and ship owners of Baltimore city, praying for an alter-
ation of the Pilot laws of this State;

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Todd, presented the petition of sundry citizens of Car-
oline county, to authorize Keneth Ross, a free negro of said
county, to pass the title of certain real estate;

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Todd, presented the petition of sundry citizens of Car-
oline and Dorchester counties, to authorize William Phillips,
a free negro of Caroline county, to convey certain real estate;

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Todd, presented the petition of sundry citizens of Car-
oline county, to authorize James H. Webb, a free negro of
Caroline county, to convey certain real estate;

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Todd, presented the petition of sundry citizens of Dor-
chester and Caroline counties, to authorize Ebenezer Hamer,
a free negro of Caroline county, to pass the title of his real
estate to his children;

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Harrington, presented the memorial of 120 persons for
the inspection laws to be applied to the citizens of Baltimore;

Which was referred to the committee on Inspections.

Mr. Burgess, presented the petition of R. S. Reeder, for
compensation for services rendered to the State by the argu-
